For the 2027 season, the Chimera has been completely redesigned. With this new board, we focused on packing all the planing speed of our current shapes into a more compact, maneuverable, and stable platform. While the shape is completely new, the Chimera still stays true to its original design philosophy: a true one-board quiver that allows you to enjoy all the disciplines that get you stoked to be on the water. With the rise of parawinging, we also refined the Chimera’s shape to shorten the learning curve and make it an even stronger fit for this new discipline. One board. All purpose. Endless opportunity.

Our 3 main goals for the 2027 Chimera were to improve the pumping and planning start efficiency, enhance the on foil feel and maneuverability, and pack more volume into a thinner and shorter platform.

The New Chimera Outline is shorter per volume than all of our previous models keeping the same width in the nose and adding width to the tail . This outline change allows us to pack the same amount of volume into a more compact outline.

Wider tail block
Allows for easier planning as your board will create better lift at low speeds, pulling your board to the surface and allowing for quick acceleration.

More nose and tail rocker
Added to the stringer line 2027 Chimera to improve the pump up efficiency but kept a lower/flatter rail point rocker to still allow the board to plane fast.

Bottom shaping
Inspired by the 2026 Odyssey DW boards featuring a convex hull to a sharp upper rail through the nose of the board and flat straight chamfers through the back 40%.

Nose and panelling rail shape
Subtle paneling has been added to the nose to reduce windage when riding in strong side shore conditions.

Wide standing area
More comfortable for both a wide staggered stance and a narrower centered stance.

Uniform volume distribution
Throughout the length of the board helps reduce the swing weight. This makes the nose feel much lighter through turns.
