The Shield K Harness Y27 is RRD’s premium low-profile carbon-support kiteboarding harness, designed to deliver maximum stability with a smooth, unrestricted feel. Its lightweight 3D-moulded spread-tow carbon outer shell distributes the pull from the spreader bar evenly across your back, providing powerful support without the need for a tall harness profile. Unlike traditional hard-shell designs, the flexible side and rib panels allow natural body movement, while the memory-foam and soft-neoprene interior ensure a comfortable, locked-in fit during long or powered sessions. The low-back shape enhances mobility, making every movement more precise and controlled. The improved barpad with stabilizer wings keeps the hook securely in place, preventing twist or upward lift to protect your ribs during hard edging. For wave riders, the kite hook can be replaced with a rope bar with stabilizer wings (available separately), allowing greater rotation and smoother carving.
